Whether you are brand new to the treatment or a regular pro, we

At Skin Savvy we use only the BEST

and is great for even the most sensitive skins!
A
few things to remember before
you come in for a brazilian
wax:
1. The hair
should be around a quarter of an inch in length.
If you have been shaving; allow a two week period after your last
shave and before your wax treatment to ensure a thorough
treatment.
2.
If you are concerned about the 'pain' factor
take a tylenol an hour before your appointment
to take the edge off. You ladies should try and schedule your
wax within the two weeks after your cycle to ensure you are at
your most comfortable.
3.
If you're planning a vacation book your brazilian
wax at least a day before.
| During
your wax remember to breathe,
relax & remind
yourself you're in good hands! |
Yeah,
you did it! Here are some tips for
after your
brazilian wax:
1.
Apply a tea-tree or aloe
vera lotion to cool and calm
the area. Try not to use anything with an artificial fragrance
to avoid skin irritation.
2.
A cold-compress feels great (puts out the
fire!). Apply it for ten minutes or so, the cool temperature
will calm and soothe the skin
while closing the hair follicle.
3.
Begin to exfoliate the area in the shower the
next day to prevent ingrown hairs. You can use
a loofah or a scrub, however if you suffer greatly from ingrown
hairs (or have coarse hairs) ask us for information on Tend
Skin - an ingrown hair prevention serum.
4.
When taking a shower or bath
post wax, try not to use hot water for the first
24 hours as your skin will still be sensitive to heat.
5.
Avoid exposing the area to the sun (or tanning
bed) for 24 hours after the wax treatment and when you do, make
sure you are protected with a sunscreen of at
least SPF15.
